THE Hospital Association of SA (Hasa), which represents more than 90 percent of private hospitals in the country, has appointed a new board, with 47 percent black representation. Norman Weltman of Netcare will be chairman for two years, replacing Ramesh Bhoola of Joint Medical Holdings, who will retain his seat. Nkaki Matlala of Medi-Clinic is the new vice-chairman.
